On June 18, we hosted the Book Club at The Mill together with Corriere della Sera journalist Marta Serafini.
Following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, Marta travelled to Ukraine, where she reported on the war through her on-the-ground coverage.
Over the past few years, her work has gone beyond journalism and resulted in the publication of her book «Brevissima storia del conflitto tra Russia e Ucraina. Dal 2014 a oggi».
Marta began her talk not with 2022, but with the events that have shaped Ukraine since 2014: the Revolution of Dignity, the illegal annexation of Crimea, and the beginning of the Russo-Ukrainian war in the country's east.
During the Book Club, we discussed Ukraine, how Italians perceive the country, and the ongoing war.Guests had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with Marta and then continue the conversation over an aperitivo, sharing their thoughts on the book in an informal setting.
