At the Circolo Filologico Milanese in the heart of Milan, as part of the BookCity Milano festival, we organized the presentation of the book La cura della bellezza by Ksenia Konstantinenko, an art history lecturer at the University of Padua.
The volume explores Ukrainian visual art of the 20th century, highlighting the works and stories of many outstanding Ukrainian artists whose cultural identity was long obscured or mistakenly attributed to Russia — as in the case of Kazymyr Malevyč. Even during the Soviet period, these artists continued to create, preserving the strength, freedom, and uniqueness of Ukrainian artistic thought.

This event was a special occasion to discover the richness and diversity of Ukrainian art and to bring the Italian public closer to Ukraine’s cultural heritage through the passionate and expert contribution of the author herself.
