Grand Christmas Concert

Held at the historic Basilica of Santa Maria della Passione in Milan, the Grand Christmas Concert celebrated the music, spirit, and cultural heritage of Ukraine.

Eight Ukrainian artists, refugees in Italy following the Russian aggressions of 2014 and 2022, performed a rich musical program ranging from masterpieces by great Ukrainian classical composers to international works reflecting the soul of Ukraine.

The concert also featured traditional Ukrainian Christmas carols (kolyadky), including the beloved Shchedryk, known worldwide as Carol of the Bells.

The event was opened by H.E. Andrii Yurash, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Holy See, who highlighted its deep cultural and symbolic significance. Among the audience, 40 children displaced by the occupation received a special gift — the magic of music and a message of hope.

This evening became a tribute to Ukrainian resilience, showing how art can unite, inspire, and bring light even in the darkest times.
