The concert by pianist Marta Kuzii

The second edition of the festival Ukraine is Ukraine opened on March 23, 2025, at Palazzo Marino with a concert by pianist Marta Kuzii from Lviv. The performance showcased classical Ukrainian music while also presenting the history of Ukrainian music and the biographies of its composers.

The Italian audience learned why Ukrainian music and artists have long remained little known — suppressed, hidden, or persecuted under imperial rule — and how, despite immense challenges, Ukrainian music survived and flourished.
